Our Shepherd's Hut, built by our friends at Riverside Shepherd Huts. It nestles in the corner of a field just outside the kitchen garden, overlooking our arable farmland with its abundant wildlife, and distant views of Cannock Chase and Bushbury Hill on the horizon.

Although the orchard field of fruit trees Mum remembers has long since gone, the late summer brings abundant fruit in the garden, with plums, apples and blackberries hanging over the garden wall for a freshly picked treat.

Our luxury Staffordshire Shepherd’s Hut is a far cry from the bare ‘shed on wheels’ that our shepherds used for shelter 90 years ago. Our cosy hut has all mod cons, but made from wood and metal to blend authentically into the rural landscape. 

Facilities:
  • sleeps 2 on a comfortable memory foam mattress (bed linen provided)
  • ensuite toilet/shower room (towels provided)

  • cooking facilities (inside: Microwave/oven/grill, hob, toaster, fridge. outside: seating and fire-bowl)
  • Wi-fi internet – although not speedy given our rural location (your phone is probably faster!)

Our Shepherd’s Hut is perfect place to escape from city life to unwind for a short break to get away from it all. An ideal destination for authors, birdwatchers, cyclists and walkers and couples wishing to explore the delights this part of Staffordshire has to offer…..check out our explore page for ideas.

Please note: we are a working farm and as such there can be occasional noise from farming operations. Sorry, no pets and no smokers.
